MLN Services

Related Services
Students receive speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, mental health services, physical therapy, and audiology therapy in a direct service or consultative format as determined by their IEP. Therapists also support programming for all students through collaboration with teachers and administrators.

Assessment and Treatment of Problem Behavior
For students who demonstrate interfering or unsafe behavior, we use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assess why the behavior occurs so that an ethical, effective treatment plan can be developed.  The treatment plan typically includes teaching replacement behaviors, blocking and redirection, planned ignoring, and fading environmental modifications over time.  Interventions include daily data collection to support data-based decision making and evaluation of the intervention.

Other Services
All elementary and middle school students participate in fine arts and adapted physical education.  High School students are able to select from a variety of course offerings including fine arts, physical education, fitness and other elective courses.   Assistive technology, academic interventions, and any additional services, accommodations, and supplementary aids outlined in a student’s IEP are also provided.
